Kari Lake Had No Business Running for Governor of Arizona

Kari Lake is a pretty woman.

That is her only positive attribute.

Who says an election denier with a background as a TV anchor could legitimately govern a large, arid, semi-red state such as Arizona?

The Grand Canyon State’s Secretary of State, Katie Hobbs, took a big risk by refusing to debate Lake. Hobbs’ choice was based on the fact that Lake would have taken up all her time in the debate by yelling about how much she adores Donald Trump: https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/09/politics/kari-lake-arizona-governor-race/index.html.

All the constitutional officers in Colorado were re-elected, all Dems, though Gov. Jared Polis exhibits a too-strong Libertarian streak.

Hiding out at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump threw a hissy-fit when a number of his endorsees — such as snake oil salesman Mehmet Oz — lost; and far-right Republican Senatorial candidate Don Bolduc lost to Sen. Maggie Hassan in New Hampshire.

As we await the final tally in Georgia, the entire corps of our associate solitary reporters is counting on Rev. and Senator Rafael Warnock to leave Hershel Walker crying out in pain.
