In Which We Explain in Insufficient Detail Why Donald Trump Is In Moscow

Yesterday, the Thompson Committee of the U S House of Representatives held a hearing.

All members of the Committee, which is a Select Committee, and which has been trying to get the attention of Attorney General Merrick Garland for weeks now, made excellent speeches, and the Committee received new evidence of how Donald Trump orchestrated his Big Lie, well before the 2020 election was held.

Now the Committee — which House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy can’t wait to abolish — has voted unanimously to subpoena the man who was our Disrupter-in-Chief, who has become a disciple of the Oath Keepers. He is very good at violating the oath that he took on January 20, 2021. The man has perfected lying as an art form, and will go down (in one way or another) as the worst occupant of the White House ever.

So, after the Committee’s vote yesterday — as well explained by Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren today on NPR — and because the Committee appropriately insists that Trump take responsibility for his criminal conduct — Trump went on yet another rant.

We here at AP willl follow further developments very closely. Our Moscow-based associate solitary reporter, Foma Kheroshonsky, will be on hand to explain why Vladimir Putin is now hosting Donald Trump in his personal quarters in the Kremlin; but in a word, it’s because they are close personal friends, as we saw when they met in Helsinki and Putin played him like a violin, as former National Security Advisor John Bolton famously said.

Putin has some dirt on Trump, and that’s all we need to say.

Unless we should recommend that everybody see the Bond flick, “From Russia With Love.”
