Justice Barrett Tells Associate Solitary Reporter Melissa Smith: "Trump's The Virus"

The dirty deed’s been done: Amy Coney Barrett, sworn in at the White House today by Clarence Thomas, is now a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States (https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/26/politics/senate-confirmation-vote-supreme-court-amy-coney-barrett/index.html).

We have not yet been able to check with associate solitary reporter Melissa Smith to learn whether Mitch McConnell was present, though we seriously doubt it, since he takes COVID-19 far more seriously than Trump & Company; but we found it interesting that senator Ron Johnson, of Wisconsin, was present; Johnson’s tasked himself with reviving all manner of previously discredited conspiracy theories involved in the 2016 election.

Johnson was so excited to be in the presence of real public health hazards that he scarcely noticed that ASR Smith had wormed her way into the exultant GOP crowd and asked Barrett:

“Amy, you’re now on the Supreme Court even though you shouldn’t be. So what do you have to say about Donald Trump?”

Barrett was unequivocal, saying, “Melissa, don’t tell a single soul I said this, but Donald Trump is The Virus.”

“He’s gonna lose the election unless I can save it for him. But the man’s evil. He’s The Virus.”
