Now That India Will Soon Have Its Very Own Vaccine, What Will Prime Minister Modi Do With It?

Colorado Day (August 1, 2020)

It’s hard to know how to deal with The CoronaVirus, but Donald Trump doesn’t have the faintest idea.

But two of India’s wealthiest men, Cyrus Poonawala (worth a paltry $8.2 billion) and his son, Adar Poonawala, have a very large vaccine laboratory in Pone, in Maharashtra, on what used to be called the Subcontinent.

There, they are collaborating with a vaccine laboratory in Oxford, in Boris Johnson’s England; and a large number of individuals constantly clothed in white space suits are, on a 24/7 basis, manufacturing the Poonawalas' coronavirus vaccine, even though it hasn’t been approved.

Adar Poonawala has said that once approval has been granted, he’ll let other countries — primarily disadvantaged countries — have half; but Narendra Modi, India’s autocratic, hyper-Hindu nationalist Prime Minister, who is Trump’s close personal friend, has decreed that the other 50% of the Poonawalas’ vaccine must stay in India ("Indian Billionaires Bet Big on Head Start in Coronavirus Vaccine Race," https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/01/world/asia/coronavirus-vaccine-india.html?referringSource=articleShare).

So we sent our Chief International Correspondent, associate soliary reporter Larry Theis, to visit Modi.

Theis is fluent in Hindi, but Modi preferred to speak in English.

“Mr. Prime Minister, there are 182 Million Muslims in India, and your nation, Sir, is home to more than ten percent of the world’s Muslim population. How much of the Poonawalas’ vaccine will you make available to those Muslims?”

“First of all, Larry, you have asked me an inappropriate question in a very rude manner.”

“But I just got off the phone with Mr. Trump, and he wants all of the 50% of the Poonawalas’ vaccine, that the Poonawala had promised to developing nations, to be delivered immediately to his home in Mar-a-Lago, for the exclusive use of the Trump Family (except for Mary Trump), and all the Republican members of Congress.”

It was at that point that Theis speed-dialed Mustafa Ahmed, who is very well connected with Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain, a Muslim general in the Indian military. In the twinkling of an eye, Hasnain evacuated Theis, who is now back safely in the United States.
