Who Woulda Thought Clint Eastwood Would Go Against Trump? Plus, Why Bernie's Medicare For All Won't Work

February 23, 2020

Remember the Republican Naitonal Convention in 2012, when longtime Republican and wealthy wealthy movie dude Clint Eastwood made a fool of himself by getting up there on the stage and addressing President Obama in an empty chair?

In 2016, when asked about Hillary Clinton Versus Donald Trump, he said, that’s a tough one.

But now, he’s criticized Trump: https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/22/politics/clint-eastwood-2020-election-bloomberg-trump/index.html.

Clint was Mayor of Carmel-by-the Sea for two years, which was two years more in elected office than Trump had when he did whatever he did in 2016.

Eastwood wants Trump to cool down and be nice to people.

Associate solitary reporter Susanna Sherman, who is well acquainted with California, where Eastwood lives, spoke with him just a few minutes ago.

Eastwood told Sherman that it would Make His Day if Trump were to tell the NRA to relocate to the South Pole.

He’s endorsed Bloomberg.

Which means one rich guy has endorsed another rich guy.

We here at AP like AMY KLOBUCHAR.

Klobuchar is 59 years old and does not embrace Bernie’s Medicare for All, or Elizabeth Warren’s Medicare for All, either.

But Bernie’s the guy who has the Momentum: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/02/22/bernie-sanders-nevada-2020-election-116762.

Associate solitary reporter Ed Newton, a very wise person and a longtime resdent of Burlington, Vermont — the largest city in the Green Mountain State — just texted us to say that Bernie is Bernie, but that Bernie’s Medicare for All is not based on good public policy because it would eliminate all private health insurance plans such as Kaiser and a multiude of other insurance companies.

Last time we here at AP checked on that, people who already have a health care team and want to keep it, want to keep it and not let the government take that away from them.

Bernie, 78 and thus eligible for Medicare or BernieCare, had a heart attack in October, but ASR Newton has been a bit stymied in his efforts to find out which insurance company paid the bill.

Bernie’s spokesperson, Briahna Joy Gray, falsely claimed that 78 year old Mike Bloomberg has suffered heart attacks in the past: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/19/us/politics/bernie-sanders-health.html; (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernie_Sanders_2020_presidential_campaign, 2.5).

ASR Nelson is now volunteering full time for Klobuchar in South Carolina.
