Saudi Crown Prince and Kushner on Khashoggi Murder

The top Saudi prosecutor announced today that five men have been convicted (in a top-secret trial) and sentenced to death for the brutal, gruesome murder of dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul (https://www.npr.org/2019/12/23/790742098/saudi-arabia-sentences-5-people-to-death-for-khashoggi-killing).

Donald Trump’s Son-in-Law-in-Chief, Jared Kushner, is in a long-term bromance with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MbS).

The American Intelligence Community has concluded that despite his numerous denials, MbS authorized the extra-territorial, extra-judicial killing.

And Trump, who has no interest in human rights, is much more interested in seeing to completion billions of dollars of taxpayer-funded sales to MbS, so he can continue destroying the Yemenis.

For Trump, oil means even more than his craving for adulation.

Could be that such experts in torture as North Korea’s Kim Jongun and MbS have helped each other send human rights plummeting.

Our Chief International Correspondent, associate solitary reporter Larry Theis, advised Kushner to confess the errors of his ways and persuade MbS to pivot 180 degrees and ‘fess up, but Kushner would have none of that.

No surprise there.

Don’t expect MbS to join Amnesty International.
