William Barr Ain't Nothin' But a (Republican) Party Boy

Donald Trump values loyalty among his subordinates above all else.

Look what happened to James Comey.

Trump has never understood that the Department of Justice is sworn to uphold the law, as well as to advise whoever sits in the Oval Office.

Look what happened to Jeff Sessions. He incurred Trump’s wrath when he recused himself from the very badly needed investigation into Trump’s close personal friendship with Vladimir Putin.

So now we have William Barr as Trump’s personal lawyer. Barr is the Attorney General of the United States.

Barr is, evidently, a party boy (as well as a Republican Party operative), and he wanted to throw his annual party, for two hundred of his close personal friends, on December 8.

Guess where? At the Trump International Hotel in Washington, only a short distances from the White House, and even closer to the Department of Justice.

Where else would be appropriate for a $30,000 party?

Barr tried the Willard Hotel, but hey, they were double-booked. That’s how important Barr is as far as The Willard is concerned.

Then he tried the Mayflower Hotel, and that wasn’t available either.

When associate solitary reporter Susanna Sherman asked the Justice Department’s Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, what he plans to do about Barr’s sucking up to his boss, Horowitz promptly hired Sherman as his Principal Investigator.

“Susanna, I need all the help I can get, so I’m delighted to have you on board. Just be sure to share everything we turn up in our joint investigation with Tom Perez over at the DNC.”

“Oh,” Horowitz said, “Susanna, I almost forgot. Everything we find out has to be sent to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler before anybody else sees it."
