Evangelical Trump Supporter Gloria Copeland Says "Jesus is our flu shot," and Praises Trump for Hiring Wife Beater Rob Porter

Always highly hypocritical when it comes to matters of faith, Donald Trump has been in frequent communication with evangelical minister Gloria Copeland, whom he tapped as one of his major evangelical supporters. She served on Trump’s evangelical advisory committee during his 2016 campaign.

Rev. Copeland has declared that Christian faith (as only she could define it) makes people immune from the flu (https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/06/public-health-groups-pan-flu-comments-from-former-trump-evangelical-adviser-327867).

She said, “Jesus himself is our flu shot. He redeemed us from the curse of the flu.”

This did not make her popular with public health officials.

Associate solitary reporter Johanna Jones was with Trump yesterday when he came down with a bad case of the flu — both political and medical. So he called Copeland for spiritual counseling, and she told him to continue his efforts to take medical care away from poor people because poor people are lazy.

Gloria Copeland is married to Texan televangelist Kenneth Copeland, who preaches the prosperity gospel, which holds that financial blessing is always the will of God for them, and that faith and donations to religious causes will increase a person’s material wealth.

“The reason that my partner in Christian faith, Donald Trump, is so wealthy,” Copeland told our chief religion reporter, associate solitary reporter Jim Bob Hobarto, is that he accepts all the principles of the prosperity gospel.”

“Clearly, God wants people to waste their money in casinos, so Mr. Trump has done a lot of good in his life.”

“And he continues to do just that!"

Copeland told Hobarto that she is very upset at Trump’s Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, for forcing the resignation of White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter, who was outed by his two ex-wives for having assaulted them (https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/07/white-house-aide-rob-porter-resigns-after-allegations-from-ex-wives-397407?lo=ap_c1). “Mr. Trump has been called by God to shake things up in Washington. General Kelly praised Porter’s work, which involved passing top-secret information to him and Mr. Trump. The lefties in the media need to let Mr. Trump do whatever he wants.”

“I stand with Trump and always will,” she told Hobarto.

Copeland also said she was very upset that Nancy Pelosi monopolized the House floor for six straight hours yesterday, advocating for Dreamers. “Women’s place is in the home having babies and taking care of their husbands,” she told Hobarto. “Nancy Pelosi is a Commie who just wants to pollute our White Nation with brown-skinned people who don’t belong here."
