So associate solitary reporter Melissa Smith, who covers Congress for us, was not surprised when, moments ago, Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez announced that the DNC has awarded its Lifetime Achievement Award to Rep. Wilson, who is known for being confrontational and feisty, especially when it comes to defending African Americans from police brutality.
Perez said, “No other Democrat in Congress has done a better job of showing how Donald Trump pivots when he is caught. And Congresswoman Wilson has drawn General Kelly into a place where he had not planned to be as the Above the Fray Chief of Staff. So now Kelly is fully partisan and he will fully, so to speak, leave the White House on January 20, 2021, if not sooner."
