In today’s Politico, Rebecca Morin reports that Donald Trump is blaming the media for his disastrous drop in the polls, with major Republican leaders now calling on the RNC to quit funding his seriously lagging presidential campaign, http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/trump-on-nyt-their-reporting-is-fiction-226988.
Morin notes that Trump tweeted that “The failing @nytimes, which never spoke to me, keeps saying that I am saying to advisers that I will change. False, I am who I am…"
In proclaiming “I am who I am,” Trump pronounces that He is the God of the Old Testament, because when Moses asked God to identify Godself by name, God responded “I am who I am” (Exodus 3:14).
Responding to Trump’s obvious blasphemy, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, told a solitary reporter that the future Madam President is a good Methodist, but that Donald Trump is a lousy Presbyterian.
