It’s getting badder and badder in the civil war within the Republican Party, and Democrats are getting happier and happier.
Amazingly enough, Ted Cruz told a rally in Wisconsin yesterday, “It’s not easy to tick me off. I don’t get angry often, but you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, that’ll do it every time.”
Cruz says he doesn’t get angry often….really? He even gets angry about President Obama having a good time at a baseball game in Cuba, and dancing the tango in Argentina.
The 45-year old Tea Party senator from Texas had just called Donald Trump “a sniveling coward” because Trump posted online an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz, Ted’s wife.
Cruz must have read our post from yesterday, in which your solitary reporter ruminated about the possibility of a cat fight between Mrs. Trump and Mrs. Cruz.
All eyes are now on Trump, awaiting his reaction to yesterday’s news that John Ehrlichman candidly told Harper’s Don Baum in 1994 that President Nixon’s War on Drugs was designed to suppress black people (https://harpers.org/archive/2016/04/legalize-it-all/). Will The Donald say today or tomorrow that Nixon should have ordered all-black neighborhoods to be, not only constantly patrolled (as Cruz wants targeted patrols of Muslim neighborhoods), but that black people should be prevented from leaving their neighborhoods?
