WHY IS CHRIS CHRISTIE IN THE LONE STAR STATE CHEERING ON THE DALLAS COWBOYS?

ARLINGTON, TEXAS

As Mike Huckabee prepares his second run for the presidency, GOP presidential wannabe Chris Christie rejoiced in Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ executive suite at ATT Stadium yesterday as the Cowboys came from behind in today’s NFC Wild Card Game to defeat the Detroit Lions, 24-20. Even Cowboys fans admitted that the Lions were robbed when officials failed to call interference on a crucial fourth-down play.

Christie, of course, is quite familiar with how to break the rules to one's own advantage.

When asked by a solitary reporter why he was yukking it up with the most unpopular NFL team owner so far away from the Garden State, Christie said, “I wanted to give high fives to my close personal friend Rick Perry, then drop down to Brownsville to look at the border and see how Rick is doing keeping millions of potential Democratic voters out of Texas.”

Huckabee, the Southern Baptist minister who at one time was governor of Arkansas and who has recently been filling the airwaves with denunciations of former Arkansas First Lady Hillary Clinton, announced yesterday that he is ending his talk show on Fox News to explore another presidential run.

As he headed to Austin, Christie also paid a courtesy call on Bush Two and asked for his endorsement for his presidential run. But Bush Two was under continuing wraps imposed by Karl Rove and was unavailable for comment.
