Bolton Is Trump's Newest Chief of Staff as DHS Sec Nielsen Quits

Yesterday, Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor, John Bolton, got into a huge shouting match right outside the Oval Office with Chief of Staff John Kelly (https://www.politico.com/story/2018/10/18/kelly-and-bolton-shouting-match-white-house-913871). Bolton, who adores Trump, wants no one of color to cross into our country from Mexico, while Kelly is much more sensible.

Gen. Kelly advised Trump not to hire Bolton in the first place, and Kelly has limited Bolton’s access to Trump. They don’t like each other.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen has been caught in the middle over the border security issue. Trump publicly berated her at a Cabinet meeting in May for not limiting the number of migrants crossing the border, and she threatened to resign.

Associate solitary reporter Johanna Jones watched with fascination early this morning as Trump literally kicked Kelly in the butt as he gleefully said, “John, you’re fired!” and then drew Bolton into a close embrace while welcoming him as his new Chief of Staff.

Nielsen followed Kelly out the door. “I’ve had quite enough of that madman,” she told Jones.
