Pruitt Blames Climate Change on Dems; Melania's International Women's Day Appearance

Donald Trump’s Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, said yesterday that carbon dioxide is not a primary contributor to global warming, a statement completely at odds with the established scientific consensus on climate change.

We have assigned associate solitary reporter Al Goodwin to cover Pruitt.

Pruitt made his remarks at an energy conference in Houston. As the conference drew to its close, Goodwin asked Pruitt what he thinks causes climate change. “That’s easy, Al,” the former Oklahoma Attorney General said. “It’s you Democrats and all the hot air you put out, always yelling about how bad we are.”

Taken somewhat aback, Goodwin then asked, partially politely, how Pruitt intends to reduce climate change. Pruitt wasted no time in responding. “Because Obama waged war on coal, we are going to make all of you Democrats go to work in underground coal mines so you can see how you like it. And by the way, we are going to repeal the Mine Safety and Health Act, so you won’t have the government to protect you when you go underground.”

Goodwin has asked us for a different assignment.

In other news, Wednesday was International Women’s Day, and it was marked in the US by hundreds of protest marches against Donald Trump.

The third Mrs. Trump spoke at an invitation-only event to mark the day, promising to stand with and support women.

Associate solitary reporter Johanna Jones was at the event. When Jones asked Mrs. Trump why her husband’s political party is pushing legislation to defund Planned Parenthood, she smiled and asked to be excused.
