Murdoch Picks Trump to Succed Ailes

NEW YORK — With Roger Ailes gone as CEO of Fox News, 85-year-old media mogul Rupert Murdoch has picked Donald Trump to succeed Roger Ailes. Murdoch announced the move in a tweet to your solitary reporter.

“Our slogan at Fox News has always been ’Fair and Balanced,’ Murdoch explained. “Donald Trump fits our needs to a T.”

For his part, Trump said, “No problem. I create all the news anyway, and I can be president of the United States and run Fox News at the same time.”

Trump, of course, did not consult his running mate, Mike Pence, about his next Big Move, nor anybody else in the RNC for that matter. No surprise there.
